Blackberry Cafe

Located in Chandler, Blackberry Cafe is serving up some delicious breakfast and lunch options!

With so many restaurants in Arizona, it can sometimes be hard to find them all. My friend Jennifer Baluch/TasteofAZ had found this location after being in contact with the owners, Setkia and Reggie. They are really great couple that have poured a lot of passion into making this cafe the best if can be. They opened up this location right before covid and at first kept really busy. Over the years they have started to notice things have begun to slow down, which I find interesting because they have a lot of great food and the portion sizes are massive. With items averaging between $10-$15, you can easily find something delicious and not have to break the bank!

I love pancakes, but if I am being honest, good ones are hard to find. They can be overcooked, dry or just lack flavor, but that is not the case here. These pancakes were so light and fluffy, had a delicious sweetness to them and you could eat these without any syrup and have no problem scarfing down 2 or 3 of them. Plus the fact these pancakes are large, it's impressive that they are able to achieve all of this with that size. The pancakes are served with a warm syrup that definitely brings these pancakes to another level too.

Another favorite here were the crepes. They use an egg based crepe to create some delicious combinations and top with fresh fruit. Speaking of eggs, this cafe is one of a few in Arizona that uses XL eggs, which is an unique aspect that the owners are very proud of. They strive to use the best ingredients and not cut corners so their customers can enjoy top quality food.

It wouldn't be Blackberry Cafe without some delicious blackberry jam! Served with some toast, the jam is fresh and not overly sweet, but with those big notes of blackberry that make it so good.

You will also find some great lunch items here like wraps, salads and sandwiches. I had to try one of their corned beef sandwiches, which they actually make in house. Served with some cheese and sauerkraut, this classic sandwich is a great option. You also get a big portion of potato chips that you will be obsessed with. It's sort of hard to put into words how great these chips are because they are a mix of soft/crispy, which sounds odd, but have a subtle seasoning to them, which makes them ever so addicting. They have customers who ask they sell bags of these to take with them.

Overall, I am shocked that this place does not get more busy than it is. Just based on the price point and portion sizes, every item here is already a great deal. Add the fact that it actually taste delicious too, in my opinion, this place should be packed. If you get a chance to make it over this way, I highly encourage you to stop by and grab a bite!
