Que Sazon

Nestled in the downtown Phoenix, Que Sazon South American Cuisine and Ceviche Bar offers a vibrant dining experience that brings the rich and diverse flavors of South America to your plate. Whether you’re a fan of savory empanadas, refreshing ceviche, or indulgent desserts, Que Sazon delivers a menu full of bold, authentic tastes that are sure to impress and will have you coming back for more!

They have some delicious homemade empanadas, featuring four varieties: pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp. Each empanada was golden and crisp on the outside, with perfectly seasoned fillings that highlighted the distinct flavors of each protein.

Their ceviche selection is another highlight, bursting with freshness and flavor. I sampled two types, each featuring tender seafood marinated in zesty citrus juices and enhanced by fresh herbs and spices. The Tradicional Peruano is your more traditional style ceviche

with diced white fish. The Tiradito Que Sazón Classic is an interesting style of ceviche featuring a "sashimi style" cut, that I actually really enjoyed. The balance of acidity and spice was spot on, making each bite a refreshing and memorable experience.

For something a little heartier, the tostones offered the perfect crispy bite, topped with a generous portion of pork and their burrito was a standout dish, packed with robust flavors and a satisfying combination of ingredients. Every dish showcased the care and creativity that goes into crafting Que Sazon’s South American inspired menu.

Of course, no meal is complete without dessert, and the Coconut Gelato Empanadas were the perfect sweet ending. Imagine warm, flaky pastry encasing a fried banana served with a delicious creamy coconut gelato. It was a delightful contrast of textures and flavors that left me wanting more.
