If you are looking for some tasty ciders, you have to try Six Byrd Cider! Located in Phoenix, AZ this hot spot is serving up some delicious ciders and some must try cider slushies.

Out of the frustration to find quality cider, Six Byrd Cider was born to give Arizona a local spot to enjoy something besides wine and beer. While a lot of ciders can be overly sweet, you will find a nice range of dry to semi-sweet ciders here.

Now I am no cider expert and have only tried it a few times, so when I visited Six Byrd Cider, I had to get a flight and try a few. I will admit that ciders I have in the past have been pretty sweet (which I am not fan of), but I was impressed by the complex ciders that they offer here. They keep 12 different ciders on tap and the 4 ciders I tried were the Chai Not?, Ponche de Frutos, Spiced Apple, and Cranberry Spice. Each one of these ciders were unique in their own way and were all delicious. None of them were overly sweet and had some great flavor profiles to them. It was a really pleasant surprise and I have to be honest, this spot has turned me into a cider fan!

The other "cider" you have to try here are their cider slushies. They keep 2 flavors available and whichever one you choose, you will enjoy ever last drop of it. The slushies are cold, smooth and packed with some great flavor, making it the perfect drink right now during the summer, but I could enjoy these anytime of the year.

Now a lot of taprooms are not always known for their food. With small kitchens and limited access to ingredients, it can be hard to create a good menu. Not the case here, as Six Byrd Cider has a great selection of bar food that has been slightly elevated and taste great. From their bar bites, mac and cheese, pizzas and sweets, you will find a great selection to enjoy here. Their "Stuffed Shrooms" have some weight to them and are generously stuffed. It's served with a side of arugula drizzled in a balsamic glaze, which balances perfectly with the stuffed mushrooms. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip is cheesy, gooey and delicious. Served with a side of bread bites, this dip is warm and makes a great bar food item. Of course it wouldn't be bar food without some pizzas. There are 7 different pizzas you can choose from and based on my experience, I think you will enjoy any one of them. I got the Meat Lovers and loved how the pizza came out. The dough was crispy, yet soft, with a generous amount of toppings, it was another nice surprise to find such a quality pizza here.

They host tons of events throughout the week and the staff here is really nice. They are always around to answer any questions about their ciders and menu, and are constantly doing their rounds to make sure everyone is being taken care of. Quality of service goes such a long way and it really shows. I visited during their trivia night, which must have been a popular night because the place was busy! Even though I did not win (I did pretty good on the questions though) it was a great experience to be apart of. If you get a chance to stop by, I would highly recommend it. Bring some friends, drink some ciders and grab a bite. If you aren't in the area, you may also find their Six Byrd Cider Co cans in your favorite spot, so keep an eye out for them!
